Easter 2001 CHRIST IS RISEN! TRULY HE IS RISEN! The great hymn of the Orthodox Church says of this day: It is the Day of Resurrection; Let us be glorious in splendor for the Festival, and let us embrace one another. Let us speak also, O brethren, to those that hate us, and in the Resurrection, let us forgive all things, and so let us cry; Christ has risen from the dead, by death trampling upon Death, and has bestowed Life to those in the tombs. The church's message today is one of hope, one of newness, and one of encouragement for those who feel like their life is lived in a tomb of darkness, joyless and without reason. It speaks of forgiveness and acceptance in the Light of the Resurrection. Today, let us join together and sing with one heart that we believe in tomorrow, because He Lives.
We can face tomorrow, All fear is gone, He holds the future, And life is worth the living just because he lives. My friend, if you have accepted Christ's sacrificial death on the Cross then claim His promises:
He has promised to bless our efforts! He has promised to forgive our sins! He has promised to answer our prayers! He has promised to meet our needs! He has promised never to abandon nor forsake us! Be encouraged today dear friend that Jesus our Lord is not in the tomb, but lives, Rejoice in Him. I wish you all a very Blessed and Joyful Easter and may your homes be filled with His Risen Presence. CHRIST IS RISEN!

March 24, 2001 JUST THINKING! You can't go forward, looking backward, and you don't have the promise of the future when you live in the failure of the past. HOSEA 10:12 - "Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the Lord..." This is one of my favorite times of the year. As I drive around the township I see farmers begin work on their ground, and I'm reminded of the constant rules for farming:
The word tells us to sow to yourselves, that is, the right spiritual seed. Look around the cultural scene today and we can see the results of unprofitable and destructive seed. So often I hear, "Where is God? Why can't I sense Him?" We, my friend, must break the FALLOW GROUND. It is time to SEEK the Lord. What better time than the one we are now in called Lent? Psalm 27:7-8 - "Hear my voice when I call, O Lord; be merciful to me and answer me. My heart says of you, 'Seek his face!' Your face, Lord, I will seek." Today my friends is the day of salvation. Let us break up our hard ground and allow the seed of the Spirit to bring forth the harvest to His Glory and Honor. PRAISE BE THE NAME OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST. |

February 4, 2001 In our everyday existence most if not all of us have times of trial and distress. Some people cope with their problems, others fight a daily battle struggling to find solutions. How do YOU solve your problems? Are YOU overwhelmed? Perhaps confused, alone and not knowing what to do or feel. We often look everywhere for an answer except in God's Blessed word. You see the Apostle Paul knew full well about distress. "I will boast all the more gladly about my weakness, so that Christ's power may rest on me... For when I am weak, then I am strong.'' One of the fruits of our trials, yes I said fruits, is ENDURANCE. James says it well in James1:2-4, "Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of our faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." In the hardships and pains we wait! Psalm 31:5 says, "We wait and endure, knowing our times are in His hands." Paul knew well what it means to go through emotional, spiritual and physical pain. "We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed..." 2Cor. 4:8-12. In waiting on the Lord we also have hope. Always practice the belief that "Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength." Jesus is knocking on the door of your heart, give Him your pain and He will give you His Peace and Grace. Please know that we here at Lamb of God Ministry love YOU and stand by you in your time of distress and blessing. "YOU WILL FIND ME WHEN YOU SEEK ME, IF YOU LOOK FOR ME IN EARNEST." -Jeremiah 29:13.

January 14, 2001 "...do not be afraid, for I am with you; stop being anxious and watchful, for I am your God. I give you strength, I bring you help, I uphold you with my victorious right hand." -Isaiah 41:10 We have started our journey into the New Year 2001 proclaiming a theme of HOPE and TRUST in GOD the FATHER and in HIS SON our SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. I don't know what's in store for your life. I do know that we are to expect great and exciting things to happen along the way. So many people search for meaning and significance in everything but God. Just think of the possibility when we really seek Him. "I have good plans for you, not plans to hurt you. I will give you hope and a good future." -Jeremiah 29:11 If your journey is one of fear and doubt, reach out to Him. If you are stuck and feel you are going nowhere, be encouraged. He does care and wants you to enjoy the adventure of life. First Thessalonians 5:14 "Brothers and Sisters, we urge you to warn those who are lazy, Encourage those who are timid, take tender care of those who are weak, be patient with everyone." The Lord bless and keep you. Let us go forth into the world rejoicing in the power of the Spirit. Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory. ALLELUIA! Until next week, He loves you and so do I, |
